 Our heritage steam railway - formerly part of Britain's national rail network between the towns of Alton and Alresford -
is now operated by dedicated volunteers.    (Visitors say we are a happy, friendly and welcoming lot.)
Our lovely big steam engines work hard hauling trains up long, steep gradients through beautiful rolling Hampshire
  countryside. But you really have to visit us yourself to see and hear the results of our efforts and to get the full benefit !		 Join in at MHR as a volunteer
