BR Class 9F #92212, preserved steam locomotive at Mid-Hants Railway, Hamp
Between March and June 2005, #92212 had major boiler work performed at Ropley

| On its current extended visit to Mid-Hants Railway, #92212 is
being worked on in the Ropley Loco
Shed on its non-service days to bring it up to main-line
standard. Between December 2003 and September 2004, the
loco's wheels
were removed and re-tyred,
the pony truck and axleboxes were renovated, injectors replaced, and
the loco repainted.

Lots of MHR staff also are keen on motorbikes, so interest stirred when they learned that ace 1960's motorcycle racer Dave Degens was to be our guest on the 9F today. (Dave's wife is in the yellow jacket) About Dave Degens In the background in the green jacket is Nick Price, a footplate customer who'd just finished his ride, a birthday present from his wife alongside him.
