THE GREAT SPRING STEAM GALA

23-25 MARCH

Our annual Great Spring Steam Gala returns this March offering a 3 day steam extravaganza for all to enjoy!  The event will feature our resident locomotives as well as guests from other preserved railways.  This year we welcome Ex-LSWR 0-4-4T Class M7 No.53 from the Swanage Railway!  Prior to the preservation era, M7's used to be a familiar sight on the Mid Hants working local services, so a return of the class to our metals is most welcome.

An intensive timetable will be in operation over the 3 days with different loco allocations running on each day, incorporating named trains such as the 'Pines Express', our excellent freight train as well as our Real Ale coach in service serving quality local ales at £2.50 per pint.  There will be plenty to see and enjoy over the course of the event!
