Today, Sunday 5 September, saw the Signal & Telegraph Department move the Up Main Shunt Ahead Signal, from it's current position on the ground, to its new one on the side of the recently painted Up Main Starting Signal post.
As you will see from the picture, this makes the shunt disc much more visible. Also, as part of the work, the main signal arm was also attached, this will be the Up Main Starting Signal when the final scheme is commissioned and for the time being, this signal is fixed in the stop position.
The signal which you can see to the left of the picture, is the Up Loop Starting Signal.
The next two signals to be built an planted will be the Up Distant and the Down Loop Starting Signals, both of these will be lower quadrant.
