Car Parking

There is a car park directly outside Alresford station, it is Pay and Display at 30p per hour, £1.50 for over 4 hours, coins only. Free on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Please ensure you park in the marked bays only. An overflow car park is available nearby at Perins School (level one), accessed from Jacklyns Lane. Additional parking at Perins School (on levels 2 and 3) available during school holidays only, accessed from The Avenue. Perins School is less than a five minute walk away.

Alton station car parks are operated by South West Trains 7 days a week. There are two car parks that operate independently, the main one in front of the station and one to the left behind the new Waitrose store, past the industrial units. These have a one off charge at £6.50 peak/£3.00 Saturday/£2.00 Sunday/£3 public holiday. The main car park has one coin operated pay and display machine or you can pay by phone on 01483 345345, location 7475. Please note that the second car park is not an overflow, but is a separate Pay by Phone ONLY car park on 01483 345345 code 7458. Tickets purchased for one cannot be used in the other. We therefore advise you to find your parking space and then pay for the ticket.

Other Alton town car parks are available along Draymans Way, just a short walk from the station. Please DO NOT park in the Waitrose store car park.

Ropley station car park is accessible from Bighton Hill, off of the A31 and shares an entrance with the Watercress Lodges (SO24 9SQ). This car park is not accessible during special events when alternate parking is available.

Special event parking; extra parking may be available in a field at Ropley for certain special events. Please check the respective special event page on this site for details.
