11th July 2001: At 2.45pm the Chairman of Hampshire County Council, Alan Rice, performed a 'topping out' on the Goods Shed. A photo-call was held on the footbridge, then Councillor Alan Rice and Alan Sherwood climbed the ladder to ceremonially complete the (purely decorative) chimney

8th April 2001:

View inside the ground floor

21st March 2001:

The timber joists in place for the second floor

14th March 2001:

9th March 2001:

Craned into position today, the maroon Ringwood train shed columns, just seen above the sea of chalk.

2nd March 2001: Car park stones being removed in readiness for a new main drain to be linked with the existing drain close to the old SCATS building
2nd March 2001: Newly laid concrete floor and the opening for the door onto the platform
Norman Atherden handing over the first cheque to Sean Barry, a Director of Drews (the Contractors) on 14th February 2001.

To the right of Sean is project manager Alan Sherwood, and standing next to Norman is Roger Bates the Site Manager.

 

2nd February 2001:

Work is progressing well on the Goods Shed. Jacks are being used to underpin the walls

5th January 2001:  Filling the hollow piles with concrete.  

Note the steel reinforcing rods down each.
