Fireman puts a few across the front at Wanders Curve as the gradient steepens to 1:60
Down train on a 1:60 up gradient
At this point, a mile short of M4M, the fireman will know if he's OK for steam and boiler water level.  Or not...
Just over the crest is the home signal for Medstead & Four Marks. On the Footplate (Advanced) we're running under 'possession' so can pass this signal ...
... and on the last run of the day drift through a deserted M4M
A short stop at Ropley until shunting movements are completed at Alresford allows time for this pic of progress with the wheeldrop shed steelwork
