The Spring Steam Gala opens our 2016 season!

Join us for a Guildford shed themed event with an intensive timetable, behind the scenes tours, society stands and much more!

Our two guest locos have been confirmed as SR Q Class No. 30541 courtesy of the Bluebell Railway and LSWR T9 Class No. 30120 courtesy of the National Railway Museum. Our Ivatt Tank No. 41312 will be back in steam and it will be the last gala for West Country Class No. 34007 'Wadebridge' as her boiler ticket expires in early March. They will be joined by fleet locos LMS Black Five No. 45379, BR 9F No. 92212 and SR Schools Class No. 925 'Cheltenham'.

Advance tickets include all booking fees and tickets cost the same on the day.

Entry is by travel ticket only. Once tickets are purchased they cannot be changed or cancelled for any reason. Site/platform tickets, intermediate fares and discount vouchers, including Tesco Clubcard vouchers, are NOT VALID for this event.
We are unable to offer footplate rides during this event.

PARKING: Ropley field will not be open.
FREE parking at Alresford station, which will be closed to the general public.
FREE parking in the top car park at Ropley, off Bighton Hill (SO24 9SQ) please click here for directions
FREE parking is available at Medstead in the Dukes Mill Business Park (all 3 days) and Woodlea Park (Sat and Sun only) on Station Approach, off Lymington Bottom Road
FREE parking in Alton for Gala visitors only at Coors Brewery (GU34 2PS) - there is approx a 7 minute walk to the station.
Public parking (pay and display) is also available in the SWT car park at Alton, behind the Waitrose store, on Sat and Sun.

Drones must not be operated on or within 50m of Mid Hants Railway property.
