Autumn Steam Gala

Our Autumn Steam Gala always aims for the spectacular, with a dazzling display of steam powered magic! This year we are working on a Great Western Railway theme. Over 3 days we run an intensive timetable - giving you the opportunity to ride behind as many of the engines as possible, as well as giving great photo opportunities.

Timetable (with loco allocations) for the weekend is now available.

Guest Locos have been announced: GWR 'Auto Tank' 1450 together with autocoach W238 will be joining Castle Class No. 5029 Nunney Castle, Hall Class No. 6960 Raveningham Hall, GWR Tank 4270 and our resident Mid Hants fleet!

With behind the scenes tours and demonstrations throughout the day it really is THE gala to attend this Autumn!

We are delighted to announce that Dave Jones of DJ Models will be at the Alresford station gift shop throughout the Gala with a display of a selection of forthcoming models from the company.

We regret to announce that Manor Class No. 7812 'Erlestoke Manor' will no longer be able to join us in October, due to unavoidable operational requirements on its home line, Severn Valley Railway.

Britannia Class No.70000 'Britannia' is currently in the Ropley Loco Yard; unfortunately this situation will not change in time for our gala and so she will not be running or renumbered during the event.
