BR Standard Class Five #73096 stands beside the Ropley water tower ready to be taken onto the running line for the first time since completion of the heavy general overhaul. Engineering Manager Clive Holliday eases the loco, drain cocks blasting, onto the running line. With token for Medstead & Four Marks aboard, the loco is taken very gently towards Bighton Bridge, then on to M4M. Journey time: 8 minutes. |
