6th January 2003:  A4 Bittern

In the comparative warmth of the shed, Frank and Steve were fitting a stretcher across the new front frame sections, keeping everything in alignment ready for welding the new frame sections onto the originals.

18th December 2002:

Clive Meech, Frank Boait and (hidden again!) Steve Humby prepare the now straightened new frame sections for welding onto the original frame. With the saddle, various stretchers and the buffer beam bolted on, everything should hold true

The MHR Shop (at Alresford Goods Shed) is doing brisk trade in Hornby 00 Bittern models. They expect to sell out well before we outshop the real thing.
