Cladding the Ivatt boiler

24th September 1998. Mick Austin up the ladder, Brian has the paintbrush, John in the facemask.

The boiler was fitted to the frames on the open day, 27th September 1998.  A good crowd braved the rain.  (Seems it always rains when we have yard work for the 45-ton steam crane!)

Later, Mick Austin gets help from Gordon Cowper, our sheet metalwork guru,  to get the dome to fit snugly.
