This 'bubble-car' arrived in time for the Enthusiast Weekend of July 2000, and was very popular as 'Daisy' during the Thomas event in August.  It's staying on.

10th May 2000:

#D6593  was in service with a train laying ballast throughout the length of MHR.  That's Dennis in the Benny hat but it's anyone's guess who's behind the shades.

'08' 0-6-0 diesel shunter (Type 11 - one of the oldest in preservation) arrived 29th July 1998 at MHR on 'permanent loan' from Day Aggregates, and is now in use as Ropley shunter.
Class 45 ('Peak') #45132
Bit of a problem before the Gala weekend on  4-5th March 2000  due to a small fire in debris immediately under the main generator.   I met a very depressed Roger Bray at dusk on 11th Oct 2000: they'd worked for 4 days on the generator, then started the engine, and the alternator section went on fire.  He's hoping to replace the parts from secondhand spares.
