Equipping Douglas to steam-heat his carriages

David Sibley made and fitted ...

.. and is almost ready to fit this 'tree' with safety valve and pressure regulator

14th January 2003:

David installed the 'tree' today, and by late afternoon had also fitted the steam supply pipe from the manifold. The connector on the elbow is for the steam heat pressure gauge, already installed above the firebox. (The black handle is the water valve to the left hand side injector, the brass valve handles at the top of the photo are to the hydrostatic lubricator for cylinders and valvechests)
