9th - 11th February 2018
Join us for a nostalgic event commemorating 50 years since the end of BR steam.
We aim to recreate this spectacle by pairing No.45231 with our own No.45379 with a replica 1T57 reporting number. Both locos were built by Armstrong Whitworth in 1937 and are two of 18 survivors from a class of 842 locomotives. No.45231 carries its post preservation name, 'The Sherwood Forester' and appears with our thanks to Jeremy Hosking's Locomotive Services Limited.
We will be running our MHR goods train throughout the Gala.
*An additional guest loco to be confirmed shortly*
