We look forward to welcoming you to our three day weekend. There will be steam locomotives operating a varied timetable from 9am to 5pm each day.

It will be one of the last chances to see 9F 92212 (our youngest steam loco built in 1959, 60 this year), running alongside newly restored Urie S15 506 (currently our oldest running loco, built in 1920, she is 99 years old).

What's on:
Behind the scene tours throughout Ropley workshop and yard; get up close and explore our locomotives under restoration. Meet at the entrance of the Education room at Ropley: 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm, 3.00pm, 3.30pm, 4pm

The Real Ale bar will be available on one of the trains each day. Treat yourself to a pint at only £3!

The Queen Mary brake van will be available for rides on the freight train.

Advance tickets include all booking fees and tickets cost the same on the day.

Entry is by travel ticket only. Once tickets are purchased they cannot be changed or cancelled. Site/platform tickets, intermediate fares and discount vouchers, inc Tesco Clubcard vouchers, are NOT VALID for this event.

Disabled parking available at Alresford and Alton stations. Disabled drop-off at Ropley station and park in the field.


Photography and Filming

Visitors are permitted to film and/or photograph at the Mid Hants Railway Ltd for personal use only. Filming and photography for commercial gain is strictly prohibited unless pre-approved by the Company.

Drones must not be operated on or within 50m of Mid Hants Railway property.

The Mid Hants Railway only permits line side access to those with a valid Mid Hants Identity Card and PTS. No other line side access is permitted, including PTS certification issued by other heritage railways, and is viewed as trespass.

We respectfully ask photographers to respect our neighbours private property and remain in publicly accessible areas. Please note that the field and crossing at Wanders Curve between Ropley and Medstead is not publicly accessible land. Thank you.

The Company does not guarantee that the trains will arrive or depart at the times stated and reserves the right to cancel, alter or suspend any train without notice, or to substitute a different train should this be necessary for whatever reason.
